entre a cortina e a vidraça
Era a sétima vez que me pedia para recomeçar aquela carta. Possuo o meu diploma, sou uma dactilógrafa de primeira classe. Da primeira vez foi porque tinha posto um ponto em vez dum ponto parágrafo. Outra vez porque escrevi «possível» em vez de «talvez». Outra porque colocara um v em vez de um b. E outra porque ele se esquecera dum parágrafo. E outra vez ainda, já não me lembro porquê. O caso é que tive de recomeçar sete vezes. E quando ele ma trouxe com aqueles olhinhos hipócritas de chefe de secção e disse: «Olhe, menina...» Não o deixei acabar. Um pouco de respeito por quem trabalha, não fica mal a ninguém.

«Muitos e bons pintores têm representado banhistas mas, uma vez mais, nunca como aqui. É uma vergonha para Cézanne, Picasso, Courbet e companhia, mas nenhum deles alguma vez se lembrou de pintar uma banhista num chuveiro com azulejos cor-de-rosa. Depois de contemplar Ana Malhoa no banhinho, parece-me óbvio que todo aquele que busca a beleza não pode continuar a negligenciar o poliban.»
